If this has already been posted i appologise in advance. I've been sitting back enjoying the benefits I gain from browsing the sythe forum but i've never given anything back, hopefully this guide will be usefull to some people and therefore will repay everything that sythe has provided me. Anyway.the guide Table of Contents 1 - What are keybinds? 2 - Why should you change your keybinds? 3 - How do i change the keybinds? 4 - Example of my keybinds What are keybinds? The majority will know what keybinds are but just to ensure completeness I will explain what they are.
This is part 2 of the series of editing guides of the RuneScape Wiki. This guide is a step-by-step process on VisualEditor basics - or, how to use the most common.
Keyboard shortcut or hotkey is a finite set of one or more keys that invoke a software or operating system operation when triggered by the user. All of my keybindings are placed on the numpad, this is because I still want to be able to type effectively however this is only my opinion everyone prefers different things so keybind whatever you feel comfortable with The Arrows represent camera movement and the other icons are pritty obvious what they are. NOTE: Remember when changing a key, the function that was previously on that key no longer excists on that keyboard until you remap it to a different key or set it to default again, I would advise to remap the key that was removed onto the key that is being put onto that one. For example you want to remap W to Up arrow, when you do this W will no longer excist but the up arrow will have two keys, so remap the up arrow to W so when your typing passwords or anything it is still possible. This is the main reason i advise to use the numpad because its rarely used when gaming.
When you no longer want the Keybinds just press set to default and everything will be changed back to normal. Vouches appreciated Thanks. Ever Wished To change The Keybinds On Runescape? Look no further!
Excellent guide man, really! I used the F-Keys often for switching between my tabs but it can get tiresome, and before the update where your mouse-scroll could be used to rotate the camera, it was a pain to have to move my left hand from F-Keys to the arrow keys to change camera, then back to F-Keys (especially if I was looking at the screen not the keyboard, as the keys don't really 'stick out' on my laptop so its hard to guide your hand to them). This program you suggested looks super simple, and I love your suggested layout for the keys! I really think I am going to be downloading this tonight if the link is safe, so I can remap my keys and start practicing using them Once again, excellent guide man, thanks! Just a quick suggestion - get a mod or OGV to just verify that download link so people feel a bit safer, then post the quote of their comment under the DL button so that people are not hesitant.
